Default Hotel bid help

Hey guys. This will be my first hotel bid. The property is 7,188 square yards. I walked it all off and measured it. No pool to be worried about. They also have 18 small trees and 50 or so bushes/shrubs. The tree are still young, only about 9 or 10 foot tall and none of the bushes/shrubs are above waist height. So, knowing an acre is 4,840 sq. yds and all of the above info, what would you guys charge for this motel? Mowing is going to be one bid and the landscaping part will be another bid.

They do want it mowed every 7-10 days and have mentioned the current guy has had some run ins with the people that stay there. He blows the grass all over the vehicles. There has been many complaints with him so, thats a plus for me.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Lawn care business tips
giving you my price wont help you .Figure out how long you will take to complete the work with your equipment and crew ,then multiply that by your hourly rate .

I would not do every 10 days it makes a problem with other jobs (jumping around days to much). 7 or 14 only

If its 2 acres charge for 2 acres. Depending on layout a 60" might cut that in a hour or 3. I cant tell you about trimming or blowing either without visiting the site.

A 60 inch mower on paper can cut your two acres pretty quick if they are just a square patch of grass with no obstructions to deal with .Most mower manufacturers have a website which might tell you the cut rate per hour ,check your machines performance on there . Something as simple as a few trees can screw up your cut pattern bad enough it might take twice as long as your machine can cut it on paper .Cutting two acres of a soccer field ,or two acres of a graveyard would yield vastly different complation rates .That is why you need to figure out your own time to cut the job and work from there .
People on this forum ,are from all over north america, europe and australia as far as I know ,and as you can imagine ,we all work in different economic zones ,and complete work to vastly different standards ,which is why my price per hour might be different than yours .For what its worth ,my lawn cut per hour is $100.00 per man ,some people on this forumn probably get more ,and definately many get less .
We are not trying to be ***-hats ,but pretty much every single day another newbie comes on here and asks the dreaded how much question which is why you get people giving flip comments .

Take a look at other threads that start with...."How much should I bid?"

Theres tons of them. Any every single one has the same point. We can't tell you, only you would know that answer by using your hourly rate. Yet you asked us. So....with stupid questions comes stupid answers. Read first, then ask questions.

What is the largest sized property you service now and how long is that taking you?

Here is an idea - talk to the property manager and since the lawn care they have now is getting complaints try and talk them into letting you see their current contract and what he is chargin and how he has it broke down into what they are paying for per service and see if you can do it for that price. Thats the best any of us can tell you cause we did'nt see the property and everyones hourly rate is different- I get between 45.00 to 50.00 per man hour and I am a smaller company than alot of the guys on here, but everyone on here is nice and will help but you have to do some research on your own.

Thats my input hope it helps

Here is the simplest answer**ask the guy who you talked to how much he paying now. Do you think you can do it for that amount and not lose too much or actually make money.

Believe me HE WILL TELL YOU, and will probably give you the same rate. (however watch out he will most likely low ball you)
