I really would like all the contracts for this one but the snow plowing is going to require a 10,000 investment.
What would you be getting?

I would need another truck and a atv with plow. I was already shopping for the truck but the quad would be for the walks only.

I got a call today saying my snow removal bid was extremely low. I bid it at $26,500. I was 1 for 8 on snow bids so I dropped $4k off the bid. Now that I'm reran the numbers I'm at $33,600. I still think that might be a bit low.
Do you think it was a blessing for them to catch you on this? If you had gotten the bid at that initial price, would it have been painful to perform the job throughout the winter or would it have been fine?

What do you think caused the difference in price?

to save on costs of buying a atv why dont you look at an snow attachment for your mower? some manufacturers have all kinds of attachments for commercial mowers and im sure you can find one for one of your mowers..... that is is if you have a rider or stander..

for example:

Have you ever used such an attachment? Any thoughts on their functionality?

I would be worried about grip. If something happen, my $9k mower wouldnt be making money.

The atv can double as a small loader with a bucket.

I wouldve made a ton of money on this property anyway. My plow bid was 30k and I was told I was to low for them to be comfortable with. I couldve rebid but I passed this winter.
