I wish I was enough of a chemist to tell you what additives that they use. I have however seen the tests that show that it works. You will also find a big difference in the oils in tests as they are designed for different engines, for example FD is the only oil approved for use in trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.

Another thing to note you only have 1 recognized testing facility and no equivalents so they are either JASO certified or not JASO certified.

I always said to much oil is better then to little.

If your using synthetic or even just a higher quality oil 50.1 is fine. With the cheaper brands its better to be safe and run 40.1, 45.1.

I would run it a little rich. But not too rich, you'll end up with a gummy card over time...

I always use stihl oil mix. It isn't that much more expensive and it keeps my warranty going. Plus, I run all stihl, so I would assume it is made for the ratio of stihl machines. I should probably check that out
