Keep us posted on how things go once you get in there and start working. Find out how many hours you are putting in for that $800 a month and then divide it up to see what you are making per hour. Compare that to your other properties and that should tell you how well you did with your bidding. In the next 2-3 weeks I start on a leveling job for a client whose back yard is sloped. Do I virtually use the same bidding process? What is your plan of attack with that job? How are you going to go about leveling it?

I did go back to the property to measure and record total head count of shrubs and tress. I measured 75,000 sq ft of mowing/edging area/total shrub count=957/total tree count=151. Okay, so you got the area to be mowed: 75,000 square-feet. What is the linear feet that needs to be edged and trimmed? Also, what is the square-feet of the flower beds? I've found that it's easiest to measure the square-feet of beds then count out 957 shrubs and trees. I'm proud to say I won the bid and was contracted 2 days ago. My thoughts are you under bid yourself, but if all you have to do is "mow and go" then you are fine. I price out more complete lawn service for everyone, especially a commercial bid. After you mow it a few times, come back here and post how long it took you. And what equipment you used. Might help others in the future.
