Got a call saying they need grass cut its knee high. So I take a look at the end of the day. I have to call them back and get more details on what exactly they want done. Heres some pictures.

Lawn care business tips

Bid 1000 dollars, cut and haul away, then sub it out for about 200 bucks. Then start hitting the upsell, fix the stone wall, etc. this could be a real money maker. Also include a 2 year contract for maintenance

Damn...what a mess. That could be a great money maker though. Id do it. It looks like it was nice at one point. Turn it back that way, great exposure for your biz.

Not sure what to bid on this. I really need a outline of everything that needs to be done. Even if its only that field, to pick it up and haul is going to be a mission. The beds are horrendous. The pictures dont even show how bad some of them are. Those bushes have to go. I would rent a dumpster rather then go back and forth to the dump.

I talked to the electrician that was there putting in a bid and his was $150000. In all its going to take a million or more to get this property going.

The new owner got a steal of a deal! He paid 1.25 mil, which is damn good if you ask me! I was reading all about it online, its a pretty neat place! I'd have no idea what to bid, what exactly did they want done??? Looks like A TON of work if you ask me. Great opportunities for an upsell too!!

The phone call said cut the high grass but theres so much more work to be done then that. Why would you cut the grass and not touch those beds? Or those damn bushes? This is the eyesore of the neighborhood. One of the neighbors even cut the grass around the hotel.

He did get a good deal but theres a major renovation needed. The hotel was last open in 2007 and needed updating then. Its a 50 room mansion and theres a carriage house across the street.

I heard the haunted stories before.

The total property is 4 acres.

I talked to the property management company today and they want the large field cut but said I could submit separate proposals for the bushes and beds. They will send them to the bank.

I think that would be smart, especially if you could enclose some photos, so they can see what the situation is and add more services as they feel necessary.
