Default Please look at my snow removal flyer

I started a small eco business this summer and now I want to do some snow blowing. I don't have the room for a snow plow so I went the snow blower route and I have over 400 homes in my neighborhood. Right now I have about 15 customers that I service after my full time job or on the weekends so I stay busy but want to try the snow removal thing as well. Please let me know what you think about it and any thing that should be changed. I live in Oklahoma City are so we don't get snow like up north does but we can get some big ones so I tried to price it at a good point for the area. I got a 2 stage snow blower fyi. I am doing this on vistaprint so I captured my images. Thanks in advance Todd

The thing I wonder about is this.

If you include a price, are you concerned you may be locking yourself into that? Could that be a problem if the customer has a bigger driveway than the average sized one you are thinking about?

Also, will it turn people away?

Instead of giving you a chance to meet up with the customer and sell them on quality, are you instead selling on price and taking out of the equation, your greatest sales asset (you)?

Good point Steve about putting the price on the flyer. Since we don't get a lot of snow here I thought I would give them a idea of price but I think I will remove it and get a chance to know them better. Most homes in my neighborhood are 2 car and a few 3 car. Thanks for your advice and great website. Anyone else want to comment on it?

Also for new people go to vistaprint and use the free business links. I have gotten a ton of free stuff from them from shirts to business card that I have designed on their website. A lot of my customers actually thought my business name was like a national brand and and appreciate the professional look that I show up with. Thanks again

Also, how are you distributing these postcards and are you doing anything else to network with your social group to reach out and try to sign them on as customers?

These will be hand delivered probably once we get a report that we have snow coming to Oklahoma. I will deliver them door to door myself. I'm small time guy right now so I don't want to put more out there than I can handle. I am going to try and hire someone to help when the day comes to do the work but I'm pretty anal about my clients. I liked the idea that a guy had about getting some small buckets with some salt and there logo on it to help spur good will.

I actually went and picked up my new snow blower last night. I haven't even started it yet but I'll get that put going tonight. I'll start getting some bags of salt so I will be ready when that day comes. I hate the cold and snow but now I will pray for it

Do you think that such a post card might get a better response if you handed them out before a snow fall and then when you see in the weather another one is coming, maybe hand them out again to the same group of people the night before?

What about using the graphics on a craigslist ad as well?

Steve I like your "Double Delivery" idea. I have a set up flyer I deliver first a couple of weeks before the season starts and a second flyer that reminds customers the season is here. I get a lot higher response when I deliver twice in a couple of weeks. Everyone is busy and a gentle reminder that they need to call helps A LOT!
