Default 36" walkbehind for great cut

OK, im overwhelmed. I see LOTS of mowers so im going to ask what u guys feel is going to do a good jobas far as mulching and consistant smooth cuts. I also want speed and sulky to reduce amount of walking. I want to spend about up to 3500.00. so my thing is i want 2-3 solid reliable years of operation , speed, and good quality cuts with mulching. I want to cut small yards and up to 3/4 acre. quality cut and manuverability. I red about red hawk, its very cheap but also read it does not mulch good. Also something that will not scalp or atleast minimum.

Lawn care business tips
isnt this like the 3rd thread you made about this? Pick one, all the commercial brands are close to equal.

I agree with SECT.

It's like guys with Chevy's, Dodge and Fords....each complain that each is the worst,

If you don't know how to take care of a car...oil changes, transmission checks, greasing, brakes, etc., each one is going to piss you off.....

if you don't know how to mow........then no matter what brand you get, the lawn is going to show a bad cut.

Sharpen the blades when you should, do regular maintenance, no matter what you get it will treat you nicely.

It's also up to personal standards....I have a competitor that says his Exmark outcuts my Ferris.....it's not the Exmark or the Ferris.......the blades of grass on my lawns are cut...his are torn....why? he doesn't sharpen his blades.

As you experiment with different mower, you may find you like one over the other for minor reasons, but these will be reasons you develop from use.

Default ferris

I found a ferris 1648 brigs strat walkbehind 09 model used only on residential for three years. I did not get hours yet but was told they r low. Comes with sulky. Seems to be solid. Good condition. Oh and 16hp. Hydro. They r asking 2350.00. What do u guys think. What's it worth. Im not too familiar with used price. 48"

talk them down cause of the briggs. If the hours are low and you get them down to $1800, its a good deal.

This whole set up cost me $1900. Took a lot of looking though.

Yeah shes quick... Part of the reason I got this so cheap is because its discontinued. I bought this at a dealer for $1250 with 900 hours on a kohler 27hp. He was asking $2000 but you know how it goes when you pull out those stacks.
