Default Need help with trailer layout

Hello,

I have started with my lawn mowing buisness and having a hard time working out how to lay out my trailer.

i.e.where to hang my shovels, brooms, blower / weed eater, petrols, small hand tools etc.

I am planning on some shelves.. but where/how?

What is your thoughts?

I plan on having some sheet metal down each side (for advertising) and also a clip on / off roof (padlocked) for weather and theft.

Whats your thoughts?

Edit: for some reason the upload function wont work.

Lawn care business tips
Could you run some pipes vertically on the side of the trailer to hold things lie shovels or brooms?

Maybe on the other side have a place for your line trimmers?

Along the front, you could put some shelving. That way you could store some fuel in it and leave space for your mower underneath?

thanks for your feedback!

My thoughts were to do something like this..

1. Put sheet metal on each side and back gate for "Free advertising" i've been told that the sheet metal is 2mm thick.. do you think this will add alot of weight to the trailer?

2. I plan to add a roof to the trailer (making it a clip on method) so i can unclip it and take off if i want in the future) - i will lock it down with a padlock so it wont come off from a thief or whilst driving.

What is your thoughts?

To figure the weight of one square meter of 2 mm thick sheet metal.

If you go with a typical density of 7850kg/m^3

density * volume

weight 2mm = 15.7 kg

2.2kg = 1 lb

so 15.7 kg / 2.2 = 7.13 lbs?

The thing you need to know is how much sheet metal will you need to do this?

I have an old truck tool box I mounted to my trailer, of course I dont have the cage like yours, but it makes it nice to store gas, oil, a chainsaw, etc. Plus it gave me a good way to lock everything inside when I'm away from the truck.

I like that! Good idea! Did you just bolt it through the bottom of the tool box?
