Default how to respond to potential clients

I was curious to know what is a good way of responding to any phone calls i get regarding my lawn service? i recently put out some fliers and handed out some business cards but i am afraid if i get calls i might not say the right or appropriate thing? For example if someone calls back how do i get their information and arrange for an estimate or cut? any advice would be great!!! thanks!!

Lawn care business tips
Can you simply ask them for their address and find a time you can meet to look over the property and give them an estimate?

Maybe download a free lawn care estimate form from here and edit it to fit your needs and hand it to the customer.

Dont be afraid thats money on the line!! Just be yourself and be confident. Never never put up a front for who you are be you! When I was in sales I trained employees who had stage fright too, only one way to get over it in this case is to know the service your selling and get out there and sell it!
Phone calls tend to be overwhelming at first, short sweet and to the point business first BS. later.....And I urge the BS.

In addition to the standard "chit-chat", I found that having a call sheet was extremely helpful so that I didn't forget to ask important info and feel like an a$$ for having to call them back.

Here's a pdf that you can view to see what I use.
I use this when taking a call or when I get an email request for a quote. If I get the client as a regular, I continue to use the same sheet for the whole season, noting the dates of each cut in the spaces.

ETA: It won't upload. Says it is already uploaded when I try again. Not sure what's wrong.
