Dethatch-Power-rake techniques

Any advice on power-raking for a newby? I have a Stihl MM-55 multi tool with the little tines not a "real" dethatcher. Anyone out there used one of these or have general tips on power-raking?

Just got done adding this to my mower tonight. This is the poor mans way of doing things $340 mower $40 dethatcher (for lawn tractor) $20 hardware

hey there just make sure that cold weather grasses get racked horizontal and vertical the same day but warm weather grasses can get killed using this process so only rake warm season grasses on their growing season and only horizontal OR vertical do NOT try to take all the dead mater on warm season grasses the first go around... haha hope it helps BTW ur attachment looks great might want to secure it a bit more just in case

working great I can adjust up & down. This saves me needing to bring my 36" sweepster
