I am looking to upgrade from a walk behind exmark. I told a dealer who is reputable that I was looking at a possble ferris. One main objective is to save my back and have the mower help with the thatch cleanups as well as mow. I was told for less money but just as good of a machine to think about the snapper. Made by the same manufactuer mainly a different suspension. He said i would be happy with it, no regrets. I'm wondering if i can get some feedback with anyone with snapper experience. If you want to save some money and save your back, could you install a better seat on your current mower? Maybe a suspension seat? How about one of these? Mower seat suspension. There are many more types out there too.

I am running a Snapper Pro S50X Commercial ZTR as part of my fleet this year. I have the 48" deck with the Kawi commercial 19hp engine. I tell you what, they are great. They are a Ferris without the suspension. I have used both on the same account. For the money, they are a great investment.

I just hit my 50 hour mark and have had no issues at all. It is a heavy duty built machine. Has the 3100 commercial pumps that are very responsive. It has the heavy duty Warner clutch, and a well built deck lift system. It has the commercial air filter canister, and a suspension foot rest. The floor plate is mounted on rubber bushings that keep the vibration from your feet.

The only thing it does not have is the ROPS. I did buy the mulch kit, but haven't used it yet.

I would highly recommend Snapper Pro. I own or have owned, exmark, scag, ferris, cub cadet and husqvarna. It will hang with similar built ztr's.
