I went to go collect some money today from a winter client. Client invited me into their home. I HATE THAT, then you know you're going to have to sit down and chit chat forever. lol. Anyways, Me: So you said you couldn't find our tax number on the invoice? Check the bottom left. Client: Oh I see, right here. Good. *20 mins of small talk later* Client: Can you come by next week and do a cleanup for me? Me: You already hired another company for spring and summer, didn't you? Client: Yes. Me: Aren't they doing your spring cleanup? Client: Yes, they will do it. But can you come and do it next week? Me: ... They are going to come after me to do the spring cleanup? Client: Yes. Me: So I'm going to do a spring cleanup, and they are going to do the spring cleanup right after me? Client: Yes, because I don't know when they will start. Me: We will both be likely to start our spring cleanups sometime in April. Client: I would like for you to do it next week. Me: You will have to wait until April, when I have my equipment ready. Client: Ok. Me: The other company isn't going to like this. Client: No, they are going to do the spring cleanup after you. Me: ... Ok. Client: So come next week. Me: April. Client: Ok. ^ Welcome to my town.
