Well if you go to Google .com and hook up to Google Analytical you can produce a couple of pieces of code like above and add them to you site it then draws the Google Bot to your site which dose two things one gives you an awesome report of the daily weekly and monthly activity on your sight and also keeps you at the for front of the goggle search.

Alright....Alright...

Here's what you do. The idea behind this is good (get high PR backlinks from video sharing sites)

Step one: go to www.keepvid.com

Step two: go to youtube (in another tab) and find 10+ videos dealing with landscaping.

Get their URL and paste it in KeepVid, download the video. Store these in a file on your desktop.

Now create a youtube, flickr, vimeo account(s) using some of your MAIN keywords.

Now upload all of your videos on to each account using your keyword for the video title and first sentence of the video description and of course in the tags.

In each video description write like a sentence "For more information on how we transformed a lawn from THIS to THIS read here "

Do this for a few weeks and you'll have some good BL juice. Plus, I have done some clients social marketing campaigns like this and one of their videos ended up going viral...what do ya know...

In any way, take action, see results.

Good luck guys

How important is it to have a list of friends on there? Is that what you mean? Creating conversations amongst the friends?

Quote:
I created this account http://www.flickr.com/photos/lawncaremarketing1/ add me as a friend! I still have to work on that site though
I added you! !

It is very important to find groups such as the city or town your are providing service. Also important to find groups related to your niche(Landscaping, Lawn Care, Lawn Mowing and Snow Plowing). It is all there.
Joining the conversation means you take part in commenting on peoples posts or photos. If you have set up your profile, similar to here, you will create a back link to a high ranking site(Flickr)
It is somewhat like FB when you "Like" someones post, it is the same flavor when you "Favorite" someones photos. The poster will see this and feel compelled to visit your photostream.
Each photo should be set up like this or do it your own way, but this is how I have my description set:
Ring Lawn Care
Stillwater, MN
651-428-3992

And in the title of each photo do not forget to put keywords related to your photo and niche. For instance : "Snow Plowing Stillwater MN"

Though this is true, it's not the recommended way to give your site juice. Your talking about networking more so. Yes you will get a backlink from flickr, however you need to be much more diverse to beat most competition.

This is good advice, and should be followed. However it's not the approach I would recommend if you are actually trying to boost your serp results. The backlinks have to be diversified. By that I mean, article directories, video marketing, social media marketing sites, social bookmarking sites, directories..you need links everywhere. Think of them as roots, A tree with broad roots spread 50 feet out is much more stable then a tree with a few deep roots.

Steve's Post Comment

How important is it to have a list of friends on there? Is that what you mean? Creating conversations amongst the friends?

I created this account http://www.flickr.com/photos/lawncaremarketing1/ add me as a friend! I still have to work on that site though

My apologies for not giving all my "link juice" techniques away all at once. I was responding to Steve's inquiry regarding Flickr. I believe the thread stated "creating a Flickr backlink for better seo" If you are attempting to build a list of back links(hopefully quality ones to sites with higher ranking than yours) Flickr is a great traffic getter, but not the end all be all.

I agree with all of this for BETTER SEO:

"article directories, video marketing, social media marketing sites, social bookmarking sites, directories..you need links everywhere."

My response to Steve was geared for local business. Since most of the members here are not looking to take their business across more than one state they need to rank on the first page of GOOGLE search results locally. Hence the "city or town/niche" statement.

I do not recommend putting all your eggs in one basket and hope "Flickr" will get you on the front page. If it is in the top 20 of my Analytics, that only tells me GOOGLE recognizes it, and of course I will use every FREE resource I can find.

Resources like: YouTube(Great), Article Directories(Squidoo, Ezine and HubPages, etc. are great), LinkedIn(great) GopherHaul Forum(Great)

Problogger, WordPress Website Builder and Warrior Forum all of these sites can help you on how to write articles, video market, email market and blog for any niche and they all have high website rankings. So if you want a few more back links, read and comment there. On top of that they have the info on how to get the most out of your website.

Over 150,000,000 blogs online today and no signs of slowing down. But many will fail, I can personally tell you I have not put all of my eggs in one basket...so you are right you need to be everywhere.

And to contradict what I just said. I recommend saying screw local SEO all together and look into Google Places. Much more powerful nowadays.

For sure Google Places..you can optimize your listing like crazy! I would not recommend screwing local SEO all together. There are still valuable resources like Craigslist(which I hate) that I suppose works for quite a few areas, not all. Also here in Stillwater, MN we have a local website(ranked pretty darn high) that acts as a "News-Feed".

The great thing about it is, the blog feature. What a way to get your name out there locally**->> FREE Here is the site, maybe you have something similar? Stillwater Patch

Yep, most areas do have something similar. Usually driven by the chamber. But yes to Google Places. I have incresed many of my clients rev three fold just by getting them optimized for a competitive keyword in GP. Very powerful stuff.
