look I can't talk for Turf &Tree and I know he is right now relaxing on a beach down south somewhere.
But I do believe he was only being a nice guy to a fellow member.
I have been working for the last 19 hours straight with 5 hours sleep and then back out again.
I am tried cold and cranky.
You got to do what ya got to do and I must do what I must do.
I think that makes sense.
good night I off to bed again.

Good night, Brother, get some sleep. You deserve it.

here let me try to answer your questions the best I can.

first off he is selling you an after market part not an OEM.
second you are talking USD and I can assure you that it will most likely be more then $10 postage.
3rd I agree with you on part of this as my list price is $20.95 for that part from Briggs, apparently I need to open a shop in Canada. Unless the import tax is that high.

I was kind of shocked to wake up to this!
To superior power, I should not be explaining myself but here goes. Like yourself I have invested a lot of time and money in both of my businesses. Landscaping and equipment repair. I know both of my markets very well. On the repair side I am EETC certified in 2and 4 stroke engines and soon will be a Honda master tech. On the landscape side I have a 4 year degree in horticulture and landscape design from Ohio State. I have just as much knowledge if not more than you do.
1) My mower repair business was started so I could buy parts cheaply for my landscape business.
2) I wanted to learn how to fix my own machinery instead of getting HOSED by my local repair shop like I was for so long. For instance $ 175.00 to install a belt that took them 20 minutes. Another example is a carb on a Honda engine for a lawn edger I waited 3 months for. That I was charged for and should have been warranty.
You don't know me nor do you know Ducke. In the nicer forums we sometimes HBO or Help A Brother Out!
I understand you wanting to promote your company on here but chill out. I do not do this for everybody. Ducke had a rough patch a while back, and I thought I could help him out with this, it also seems like he does not have many options for parts in his area.
I also maintain a huge inventory and can get parts overnight. As far as shipping you should look at Rotary Corp. free shipping with orders over $ 100.
So now I do all kinds of work on my homeowners machines and some for about 10 local landscapers. $ 35.00 per hour labor rate for repairs and $ 50.00 per hour for landscaping.
I hope this helps explaining what I did, if not you might want to join the Pers forum.

how can you keep a quality mechanic at $35 an hour and pay them threw the winter, and be certified to work on all of the engine brands.

Also I did not think you could get Master Tech certified on Honda for at least another year, most likely 2 or 3 before they release that test. My understanding is that the test has not be finalized yet. And I am sure it will be much harder then the EETC test, I took that recently and will not even list it here as I was embarrassed by the difficulty of the exam.

Agreed 100%. If you really are a Honda dealer and have access to their training, then you might know the availability of their Master Technician certification.
