  • OEM Hour meter Install

I have a OEM hour meter for a great dane, same as the john deere meter. Its a 2 wire set up.

I'm having trouble figuring how to install this. I'm thinking the + goes to the ignition. Can I run it to any wire that is hot when the mower is on?

Steve that aftermarket type just wraps around the coil. I bought the OEM hour meter.

I shouldve looked but right under the control panel? there was two lead wires for the original meter. I just connected it there and it works fine. My ten yr old mower has .6 hours lol.

I am glad to hear you got it all working. With the factory setup, will the clock start as soon as the key is turned or does it need to be running?
