I use Fastraps for my mowers.

I recommend cargo buckle. It is cheaper, and faster then faststrap and meets all of the requirements of DOT. I have been looking for a better supplier of them but you can buy them at sears.

Faststrap works ok but the boat buckle will be more useful for anything else you use the trailer for, it was easier for us as we could just pull any mower up and strap it down in less then a min. FastStrap took a little getting used to and did not work for any mower. Plus we found we were always parking on the strap with them.

okay but do you connnect the straps to the side of the trailer or do you use the things you screw into the wood decking

I wanted more security then screwing it into wood, so I mounted mine to the sides of the trailer.

I'm interested in reading what products/techniques are useful too.

I've seen the Faststrap in the store, but it's only usable if you mount the brackets to the floor. I have a wire mesh floor, and I don't have a "system" worked out yet, so I don't want to "mount" something in case I decide to move things around a bit.

a wire mesh floor would be easy to set up ,just use a backer of some sort [metal plate ,plywood whatever] and bolt through it all .You have the advantage of being able to reposition them anywhere if you get different equipment or find out your unhappy with your current placement .

Does anyone have any pictures of their strap setup?

Come to think of it, I don't even have any equipment that has large tires, so the Faststrap is not of much use to me anyway. lol

For the most part, I think I'm good to go with bungees since I have sides on my trailer. I need to look into regulations on such things though.

Any suggestions for GOOD (read quick/easy) brands of tie down straps?

                        Absolutely!

Did you decide on any specific product yet? If so why did you choose that one?

Can you show us a picture of your new straps in use?

Also, what about these jungle jim mower holders?

It's in the link on the post there. I think you ride your wheel into the device. It snaps up and locks. You can then put a pin in it to hold it secure.

Check it out and tell me what you think of it.

I do mower delivery and service not mowing so my trailer is busy right now but as soon as I can I will take a picture and post it. I should have posted that when I posted what I use as well considering I have to load different sized equipment all of the time it affected what I have to use.

But do remember you have to tie down a mower in 4 places to be legal in most places.
