          Trim

Depends on what you mean by "trim". Are you hand pruning to maintain the particular shrubs natural shaOpe? There are proper ways to maintain each type of shrub. I was lucky enough to learn under two guys with horticulture degrees from Ohio State years ago. I always cringe when I see guys in our business hacking on someones shrubery. If you don't know how, read, study, educate yourself.

Meh. I like doing them and can shape them evenly and all, but I don't actually do that many hedge jobs because not many of my regulars have them..
I'm lousy at pricing them accurately, so I can't help there.

            Take lots of tarps.
I like using painter's tarps from Harbor Freight. The 4'x12' ones are GREAT for long runs and they're only about $6 when they are on sale. Less expensive than the landscaper burlap tarps and better suited due to their shape.

Keep track of how low the job takes to see how it compares with your original estimate time. That will help with future job estimates.
