  • Grass may be greener for military families

Project EverGreen is still moving forwards. It's also getting positive press for those lawn care companies who take part!

Grass may be greener for military families - Chris Dotson and Michael Songer have one thing in common.

They want the grass to be greener for local military families this year.

Both men own lawn-care businesses and have offered free services through GreenCare for Troops, a nationwide outreach program that began in May to provide free landscaping or lawn-care service for military families while a soldier is deployed.

"I found out about it at a convention I attended in Columbus in December and immediately enrolled. We want to get some awareness out there about the program," said Dotson, who works for his family's 25-year-old business, Superior Lawn Care, in New Stanton.
