  • Banning of certain trees

Have you had any trees in your area banned from planting?

Ban imposed on ash trees - Now that the emerald ash borer has invaded Ohio, West Chester Township officials are evaluating and counting the ash trees in their community and will no longer permit developers to use such trees for landscaping.

Some autumn ash trees that were donated to the township years ago line the Union Centre Boulevard business area.

The tree-killing bug hasn't been detected in Butler County, but officials say they presume it's just a matter of time.

If I remember correctly there are certain tree bans here in Michigan as well. Our three biggest enemies in the state for trees is the emerald ash borer, beech bark disease, and dutch elm disease
