  • Tar Spots

Many customers in my area have been asking about black spots on Maple trees in the area. *These black spots are called tar spots. *There really abosolutely nothing that you can to control these tar spots.

    1. *You can spray the trees with a fungicide, but if your neighbor across the street doesn't spray his trees, then it is a waste of money.

    2. *Make sure to remove all fallen leaves on the lawn that are infected, especially during the fall months before winter. *Because if you don't remove the leaves, when spring arrives, the spores will become airborn and infect newly budding trees all over again. *But if your neighbor never took care of his leaves then yours will probably be infected anyways.

Like I stated above: *There is really nothing that you can do about it. *Make sure to explain that to your customers and inform them of the situation.
