well the way i look at it is i own a business
I provide a service to customers.
I never thought of owning a job before
i guess that's where wally world come in to play
when i worked there i was a associate and when we
got the profit sharing they said we were part owners
well the pay was lousy and you had to work the weekends
Now as business owner
from feb to the end of march i made with power raking
and aerating i made more money then i would have at wall mart in six months
it now July and and i have all ready surpassed what i have made in a year at wal mart that's including taking taxes out
yes it a little bit harder because you are the boss, the employee
and secatary all in one but its worth it
and i can set my own schedule
See the reason I ask is I guess the definition of it really can differ from person to person.
I was thinking of one of my friends who owns a retail outlet and he tells me how he has no time for himself. He can't leave the store or sales wont get made. Or someone will steal from him. He has to be there opening till closing, 6 days a week.
As I hear these stories from him, it makes me think he owns a job less than he owns a business.
Should he be looking to build the infrastructure he can manage, whether he is there or not? Is that more what owning a business is?
Is part of owning a business that it runs and the momentum continues with or without you being there every second of the day?
