    Ill say getting regular customers was the hardest. I focused on higher paying one time jobs early on because I was working. Then when I did it full time I had more trouble finding weekly and biweekly accounts since I was focused on $500 jobs from the beginning.

      I hear ya.

      1 out of every thousand clients pays what he/she should, but the market is so bad they actually think we're ripping them off. lol... b.s.

      If someone came into this industry and advertised $1 cuts then went out of business - clients would think we're ripping them off if we (heaven forbid) charged $2 per cut.

      Then we have these a-holes who think they're doing us a huge favor, and think that we should kiss their arse for their lousy money. The majority of the time, if a client wants to start complaining my first reaction is to say "Ok. Go find someone else PLEASE, find someone else!!!" instead of even attempting to make a situation between me and a client better.

      Maybe I'm going a little nuts (HA, I already was nuts - almost had you fooled).

        I found it easy to sell my services to just about anyone, landing jobs was the easy part for me. I would go door to door and shake hands like I was running for office LOL! I would frequent gas stations in high end areas and just catch the money clients at the pump... Hey buddy you need a lawn man? I got so much work at the local sunoco.

        But here is where I messed up RIGHT OFF THE RIP! If I bid 10 jobs I got 9 was I that good at sales? NO! I found out the hard way that I was too cheap...funny I thought I was making money till I had 40 something accounts an COULD NOT MAKE EVEN A SMALL PROFIT.

        Sales were only easy because I was low balling my services.
        And that was a hard lesson learned.

        Now days I am the first person to yell bloody murder about "Low Ballers" funny looking back
        If you can't be good..Be good at it!

          i make my own in word Microsoft flyers did have any tools i start buying tools while i was getting hire.
