• Advertise your weakness.

With cold & flu season upon us, I've been seeing these commercials for Buckley's Cough Syrup. *Their ads are hilarious. *They advertise their horrible taste and make it a central theme in their commercials.

    "It Tastes Awful. *It Works."

How can we apply this concept to a lawn care company? *What if you are just starting out and you only have a small push mower? *What if your flyer read something like:

"You won't believe how long it will take me to mow your grass."

    "Takes forever. Looks Great."

Then, under that tag line you describe how you do quality work and you take longer to make sure the grass is cut right and no areas are overlooked. *What other examples can we think of?

Start a profitable lawn care business.

    LOL !

I was thinking about that ad campaign too! Somewhere in the back of all our minds we think if it tastes awful it must work better than the other stuff and then there they go re-affirming it.

Very nice idea. Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.

This is a smart move and it would position you in a great light when a potential customer is comparing you to another larger lawn care operation.
