started a topic D.O.T was out yesterday.

    D.O.T was out yesterday.

I was pulled over by dot yesterday while on my way to a job. They were sneaky..sat on the side of the road in a white utility van looking like a utility company. Anyway, they inspected everything for a good 45min...reg, insurance, inspection, weight , medical card, lights, trailer, trailer connections, equipment strapped down etc . I Passed you M F'er! Can you compensate me for that lost hour? No really though, it's great that they do this. I've heard many stories on the roads about trucks and they're half assed trailers killing people. On the other hand , we finished the job, 17 tons of river rock delivered & spread.

and when I got home , my head unit from amazon arrived!! Yea buddy.. Installed that in the personal truck to cap off the day.

They (Pa) wants you have a psychical done every yr if your driving a vehicle and or trailer with a combined weight of over 17,000lbs...they don't want someone passin out at the wheel with that much weight, makes sense. And the rest of it is common sense...tie down your load, use a tarp, don't have any objects that can harm other drivers etc. I believe each state has a website with all the available info that pertains to the state. I had a trailer light out but only 1, in pa you are ok with just 1 light but get a warning to fix the other. The medical card website is FMSCA.com I think, you can print out a card and have your doc sign it. Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! Tip # 324..wear tinted sunglasses so you can stare at your hot customers in bikinis. Toodles Bitches!
FMSCA.com is where I was told to go.

Where did you find out about this so others in other states can look to see what their requirements are.

What about medical cards are they looking for?

Congratulations on passing. How did you know about all the things they would potentially be testing so you could pass this inspection?
