Heh. That would probably offend some of my "city" clients.

              Tony,

A little off topic, but what brand of vinyl do you use for vehicle lettering?

I went to a sign place and asked to find a color that matched my truck paint, so they took the samples out and we found one that was a pretty close match as far as I could tell. That said, the guy kept pushing another color as "pretty close", and as it turns out, he HAS that color in stock, so he was trying to get me to use it. I told him if he could get me the other color I'd use them for my graphics. He said he'd check availability and call me. He never did.
I called HIM back and was told he could get it, but there would be an extra charge. At this point, I'd rather not deal with him, and if I can get the lettering done elsewhere in the color I want, I will.

It was an Avery color. "Champagne Mist" UC 900-207-M

My truck is a Silverado in Light Pewter Metallic.
I'm lettering on dark tinted side and rear windows of my cap as well as the tinted top section of the windshield. I know that "white" would stand out more, but I'd like something different and that color seemed to be a close match to my paint color and should be just light enough to be readable on the dark glass.

Whatever you do Hedge... Dont go through Signal graphics! I do custom Radio Flyer wagons in my spare time, had them do some vinyl for me. Turns out the outsource it to other smaller shops, takes ten times longer ( 4 Radio Flyer Decals / 3 weeks in my case ) and they put a 30% mark up on it. They messed up though, I had to go personally and pick them up from the maker, Talked to him, go through just him now ! Pricks

I just sent an email to the address above.

I'm working on my design. I'm mocking it up in Photoshop with some closeups of my truck windows. Then I'll go get exact window measurements and lay it out using those.

Can I assume that an Illustrator file (text converted to outlines) would be your preferred method?
