  • Hi there,

As a kid growing up I wanted to be (A) baseball player or (B) a ************* for a mlb team. That was just a dream of course.

I used to work for a lawn care company when I was in my late teens,
I used an aerator, derby, seeded, fertilized and applied chemicals with a hand sprayer as well as with a tank.
I mowed lawns and worked for a tree service splitting logs. This was 20 yrs ago, now that I am in my early 40's I want to get
back into the business on a p/t basis.

This forum is a great place to get started, but living in the northeast(Queens,NY) this is seasonal,8-9 months out the year,
not interested in snow removal, we hardly had any snow last winter, a record low as a matter of fact.

DONT let that deter you. I had my highest profits last winter because of the lack of snow. Now I expect some of my seasonals to switch to per push/event this winter but that might work out with New England weather.

i am from westchester and have to say this season sucks.
first it does not rain and everyone complains that fertilizer has no effect.
      lately it wont stop raining.
      well it is always something.
