  • Hello Everyone.

My name is Salethia. And I have a wonderful husband and one year old son. My husband and I are in the process of starting a yard/floor maintenance business. We are trying to get our ducks in a row. I am the mind behind the business, so I am seeking all the information and help, that I could possibly get.

licensed, bonded, insured??? Tell me what is best, please...

    Welcome to our forum!

Wow that is a combination! What made you choose to put those two services together?

As far as insurance, it depends on if you are going to service residential or commercial properties. Commercial properties may require a $2million dollar liability insurance.

The bonding may not be important until you have employees. I probably wouldn't bother with it until someone require it of you for a job.

As far as licenses go, you may not need a license for lawn care but you may for landscaping. This is something that each community has their own way of dealing with.
