  • Google "Hummingbird" effecting your site?

Google updated their search engine this past September with a new algorithm called Hummingbird.

It supposedly shook up a lot of ways many have been performing their search engine optimization. Instead of giving a lot of weight to you putting content elsewhere on the internet, like writing articles for article submission sites and linking back to yourself. They are now making it more important you put original content on your site.

This could have caused your site or a lot of your competitors sites to be re-evaluated and re-indexed. So you might appear higher now on search engine results for certain key phrases or appear lower.

Have you seen any change or uptick in incoming phone calls because of a newer site ranking?
