  • What a week!!!

    This week has been one of the best that I can remember ever being in business. *I just landed another large account for lawn applications. *I am 7 out of 7, 100% this week. *

    This new customer was from a referral from another customer. *So far this referral customer has been amazing to me. *She just signed up as a customer last week, and already she has earned $50 in credit on her account for referrals.

    The latest new customer was a huge one. *A $175 per application account. *The guy is paying in full as well.

    Customers are taking advantage of my incentives. *For example, with this last customer
    1. *My customer referral discount came into play
    2. *This new customer is a chamber member and is using the 10% discount that I have with the chamber
    3. *He also pre-paid to take advantage of the 5% pre-pay discount. *

    The little things do matter

    Great job!

    It's amazing how you can be all ready for success but it's just one or two small things holding you back. If you didn't play around with the ideas and variables, you would never know how just a few tweaks here or there makes all the difference in the world.

      I agree. I think that I am also going to try the whole guarantee thing. I haven't figured out exactly what I am going to do, but I am going to try it

        Tell me more.

        I really feel it's going to be your home run swing.

        Just make sure to minimize the downside. The refund shouldn't be for anything more than the last application.

          That is what I am thinking. I was thinking of a couple different options
          1. Refund the last application
          2. Give 1/2 off on their next application
          3. Give 1/2 off on their last application
          4. Give them coupons or gift certificates for next year

          These are just some things I have been thinking about. I am not 100% yet exactly what I want to do

            I like #1 most.

            That sounds like the definition of a true refund and you could promote this like crazy!

              I saw that TruGreen and Scotts does do that one their website. Scotts only does one place here, the local McDonalds and I think they do it because they maintain all of the McDonalds in the area.

              The other local companies do not mention a guarantee.

                I think this could be a big selling point.

                What if you guarenteed to have better results than TruGreen or Scotts? Is that possible?

                    Well it's a thought and you can always step it up more if the first guarentee attracts more customers. Then you can increase the pressure!

                      Well, I picked up another customer today. This time with those 15% off flyers. You know, the ones where I was targeting TruGreen.

                          well, I know this was a high goal, but I wanted at least 25 new customers by the end of April, and 50 new by the end of May. My goal is to get 250 customers by the end of November (basically setup for next year).

                              I can see more like 175-200 customers. But who knows, things might really explode. It always slows down in September. So I have basically April, May, June, July, and August left to really hit up people. 20-25 customrs a month would be great.
