  • good ideas?

    While I was working yesterday a real estate agent stopped to talk to me. He has built a great referral program and a service package that he gives home buyers when they buy a house. He told me he wanted to consider putting me on his "preffered" service provider list that goes in these packages.
    Right away he gave me a coffee cup with his all his info on it and a thanksgiving card and small candle for my wife. The candle had all of his info on it to. What a great idea.

    He told me he would help me make a flyer like the one he gave me which was very professional and nice. Also told me he could help me grow my business. Based off of referrals I'm guessing. I only talked to him for about 10 min cuz it was getting dark and I had to load up and leave.

    I'll try to post the card and the inside of the flyer so you guys can see it. You can get some good ideas from them.

      What is a bmp? I scanned it on my printer then saved them.
      It wouldn't let me post the rest of them.

        I'll try *to figure it out later. I can't get it to work.
        On the front there was a picture of a family around a thanksgiving table that says "Happy Thanksgiving Thanks for making me part of your life."
        On the inside is a recipe for pumpkin pie dip.
        And it says his name and your realtor then "A referal is sending someone you care about to Someone you trust. Thank you for trusting me."
        I think its a great idea with the recipe and all. I'll try to post it later.
        And it came in a bag with the candle.

              My wife got home and showed me how to do it-

              I know this isn't related to lawn care but maybe someone on here might be able to get some ideas off of it.
              I thought the card with the recipe inside and the candle with info was pretty cool. I'm going to do something like this with my Christmas cards.
              Or would I use holiday cards so I don't offend anyone? Sounds stupid but thats the way it is today.

                Thank you for posting the images! Yea that is interesting! I think you could do something like that and it would be successful.

                Well he certainly knows how to network! Have you heard back from him? I'd like to know what more is involved with this.

                  I think it would be successful to. He seemed to be doing good with it. I havent heard from him but I want to use some of his ideas in my referral service I create. I really like that thing about trust on the inside of the card. I might use that for in my referral info somewhere.

                      He called me last night and gave me a customer to contact for some work. I'm going to there house tomorrow for a bid. I was suprised. I have talked to alot of agents and usually don't here back from them.
                      He said to let him know when i want to meet with him so he can help me make up some literature. He can probably give me some great ideas on a referral program since hes been so sucessful with his.

                          No fee. Just expects the same. I run into people about twice an month that are selling there houses so I will refer him.

                          He had a very good presentation for his service package and referral program. A notebook full of colorful, lamenaited pages that he has spent some time on. Not just something he threw together. Unfortunately I can't explain it very well because he showed me briefly on the side of the road.
                          I plan on taking up his offer on the help.

                            I think that is really sweet.

                            Here is a thought on this. One of my friends in the past had hooked up with a garden center and gave the store employees 10% cash when they referred a customer to him to do a job with material that was purchased at the garden center. Because of this, he had consistent business referrals all year round. He was always doing so much better than any other business around him. So the lesson he told me from that experience was cash referrals can make a huge difference in your bottom line.

                            You could experiment with this and if it works for one realtor, you could experiment and try to replicate it with others too.

                            Any thoughts on this?

                              He reffered me to one of his customers. I went out and gave them a bid and got a $650 job this weekend!
