  • Baby boomers want to mow less?

If this trend increases I would say there is going to be a lot more work to be done.

Have you noticed this to be the case more and more?

Mowing vs. leisure; lawn care for boomers - Less mowing and hedge-trimming mean more leisure time for many baby boomers.

"Boomers, in buying a new home in a planned community, are freer and not encumbered by yard work and upkeep," said Jim Lansford, who developed The Highlands townhouse community in Ringgold, Ga., with his brother Norman.

With 6 percent of people age 55 to 64 moving each year, according to the National Association of Home Builders' 50-Plus Housing Council, many are looking for the convenience of less yard work.
