We could use more of these programs. Can you imagine if every community had programs to help young business people get themselves started?

"The Venture Centre hosted a youth venture project for youth at risk, and so far have had one successful entrepreneur flourish in his field."

How often are those who are considered 'youth at risk' simply kids with a lot of energy who just need some guidance and direction. If you have energy, guidance and direction, you can be wildly successful in life.

What do you think?

Success through youth venture project (http://www.timminstimes.com/story.php?id=231719) - Ferrari has been concentrating on cutting lawns, fixing gardens, seeding, and laying sand, but is looking forward to doing garden design. His services will also continue throughout the winter with snow removal.
Ferrari said the hardest part about opening his own business at the age of 24 was getting funds in place and developing a business plan, but youth venture project co-ordinator Terry McGaghran was a big help in those areas.
McGaghran said Ferrari's been the most successful youth to emerge from the project thus far, but they will be starting a French program in July, for which applications are currently being accepted.
"I would definitely recommend that anyone with an idea for a business, and who fits into the category to apply," said Ferrari.
