Competitions 003 - Cleanest Mower

The rules are simple & everyone can join in on the competition by submitting their pictures.

"Scott, why would I bother with this silly competition?"

My friend, it will be productive for all of us to give our mowers some TLC. you will take pride in your finished work, until you mow the first lawn after cleaning it that is!

Rules:

You must have a before & after picture of your mower, from when it was dirty until it became clean.

You must also have before & after pictures of the underside of your deck.

You must have a total of 4 pictures.

Before Pictures: Underside of deck, mower frame.
After Pictures: Underside of deck, mower frame.

You must leave a description on how you went about getting your mower clean!

This wasn't my best cleaning due to the lack of SUN!

Sun is important when washing my equipment & drying out the grass under my mower so it can flake off.

This time nothing dried off, so I couldn't do the best scraping job on the underside of my deck.

I wax my mower once a week (I can't help it, it's an addiction). You can still see last weeks shine while the mower is messy lol...

I used Windex, scrubbers, a ton of painting tools to scrape, wheel cleaner, turtle wax, WD-40, anti-rust, etc...

I hope you do get time to clean your mower! It can be very fun, especially when you get your hands on some turtle wax, you'll be scrubbing it as if it was a Ferrari trying to get that shine to come out!

I think a tooth brush would be a key tool to use while cleaning a mower, I keep forgetting to try it...

I never remove the spark plug or anything while cleaning, though I've heard about mowers starting up randomly.. Need to lose a hand to believe it...
