Well there are a few things I'd like to throw in here, nothing major.

I got a new customer who wanted lawn service only 2 times a month, rather than 4 times a month.

I told him that I'm not interested in taking him on as a customer & explained that I will be working just as hard or more hard doing visits twice a month. He asked if there was a solution.

I responded, "Well I can either up the price & mow your lawn twice a month, or you can hire my services for the entire season, 4 times a month."

He chose for me to raise my price, so I did... geez.

********

So his lawn was mowed, Monday around 11pm. I then get a call on Thursday & he says, "I was wondering if you mowed my lawn Monday?"

I laughed. This guy is going to be like this all season or what? We just started! lol... So I said, "I cut it on Monday, & I'll try to cut it shorter my next visit if I see there will be no problem doing so bla bla bla"

/////////////

My trailer... Well, it's Blue, like my company hat, looks great. I needed my company info designed onto it for awhile now but I've pretty my yelled my head off at the one person who was eager to help me out, they bailed on me the first few weeks & it got to me.

So the lights didn't really work on the trailer, but a little bit of frustration & tape got me through it, plus a couple of new bulbs. It just looks like a mess & I'll be embarrassed to drive it around just yet, lol. I want it perfect!!!!!

///////

My stepfather has been nagging me to weed his stone gardens around the house, I told him from the start I'm not interested. Doing a job like that really isn't worth the money unless I'm ripping him off. Weeding out of stones is a waste of time, soil & mulch is great though.

My starting price for weeding is $75.00 for soil/mulch beds... & my starting price for weeding stones is officially $120.00 , it's just something I'd rather pay someone to have me not do it.

I recommended that he pay me to spray the stones, but he said no & got into a little fuss.... Next thing I know I come by his house & see him spraying the stones, lol...

.........

I'd really like to start lawn striping this week, I just want to find the best solution. Something for my self propelled 21inch... Something that works... I wanted to use a roller that you fill with sand or water, but only because I thought my friend had one that I could take off his hands for a case of beer, but he didn't have one. These things are like $120.00 .... and I haven't tested it out yet.

What else is new? Well, I started jogging again... Also staying up all night watching the best show ever "South Park" on www.allsp.com ... that's about it!

I forgot to mention this!!!

On the radio a couple of days ago a lady had called in & spoke about how she had a crush on the guy who cuts her lawn.

The radio station host asked her to get him on the other phone line, so she did. Once he was on the other line, the radio station host said, "***** has something she'd like to tell you"

She said she had a thing for him & asked him if he would like to go to a show she had just won 2 tickets for. The lawn service guy said yes!

Fun stuff! Interesting world!

LOL, I'm not as sneaky these days. If I went on a date with a customer my girlfriend would wear my balls on the soles of her shoes.

Yes sir! And it's works like a charm! I love it, I probably wont use any attachments other than the string trimmer but this baby is hardcore!

We should all post up picks with ourselves with our equipment, make a nice gopher member album or something awesome!

I think you are onto something Breeze.

http://www.gopherforum.com/uploaded-files/images/breeze-postcard.jpg

Can you imagine if you started to include all these zaniness in your marketing material. To the point where customers weren't sure if you were kidding or not? LOL Like you could create a postcard with you mowing at night with flashlights taped to it and your ear protection on. Then have it say on it. "The only lawn care company in town offering midnight lawn mowing." LOL

Or maybe "We'll mow you to sleep."

I bet you would get people calling you up wondering what the heck LOL. It could create a lot of buzz.

So I have 2 customers to do now, I'm taking a break after the one I just finished.... It was the one who's grass has been growing for weeks & what knee high.

I never trimmed for more than an hour before, WHAT A JOB! I also forgot to put my earmuffs on so I'm deaf & feel like falling over. lol.

I started his lawn at 10am, finished at 12pm. Ridiculous! Damn corner house... Not to mention I had to restring my trimmer before I did him & get some more mix for everything.

Now I need to find someone to sharpen my blades, I'm just not in the mood to do it myself anymore. A.k.a I lost my grinder lol...

Well 2 more houses to go! One large one, and one small one that shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. Then I'll be back & on the forum, because that's what I do on my spare time LOL.

It'll end up with me having a dance off with competition.
On tv, "So you think you can mow?" Do some back flips with a blower or something... That would be awesome!

I just got a call,

Scott: Breeze Lawn Service, Scott speaking.

Guy: Hi, I live in ****** I've been on vacation for awhile & my yard is a jungle.

Scott: Unfortunately we don't service that area.

Guy: It's pretty close.

Scott: No it isn't. I'll see if I can contact another company to take care of it.

Guy: Oh ok, thanks! I just would like it done today.

Scott: Alright.

Guy: Ok, well thanks!

Scott: Have a good evening!

Lollllllllllllllllllll oh mannnnnnn
