A nightmare

My customer paid me every month, but told me not to touch the lawn yet, that it's not ready.

I've cut his lawn once or twice & never found a problem, he still said the grass wasn't growing...

In my mind I'm thinking "Maybe it's because I cut it"

But anyway, he's another person who is impossible to talk to, so I let it go. The only grass that wasn't growing was under a gutter spout, big deal. See what happens, is he paying me to not work all season? Weird.

FINALLY, I get the call. "You can come any time!"

Perfect! It rained Monday, we had a drizzle today & tomorrow might be rainy again. I did the lawn today, I waited as long as possible for the grass to dry, but no hope.

Here is what I had on my plate;

It was a disaster, my whippersnipper was surely wanting to kill me from the abuse it had been given. My lawn mower was set on the highest settings & I even had to tilt it so it would mulch more then bag. I went over every piece of turf quite a lot, zero hope for his lawn to look beautiful. The mess was a disaster, wet and stuck to everything.

I then had to take my girlfriend out to buy a summer dress & it now it has a nice grass stain on it lol... ;) That's a summer dress!

I don't know, but you shouldn't rely on a customer to tell you when to cut. May and June are worse (for us since were in Canada) that you need to cut the grass every week otherwise this is going to happen.

I love cleaning the the mower after the grass has caked on, it's so much fun... I love rainy days when the rainbows come out to visit me while cutting lawns, they know I'll be there for awhile, it's so pleasant.

JUST KIDDING. I learned my mistake.

"never brush off a customers silly games, just end them on the spot before you screw yourself".

I thought I'd rather just say bla bla ok call me whenever, your still paying me, I have things to do... BOOM I forget about him, & now I have a big job! No good.

My mower is going to shoot a stone in my face, I know it...

LOL I couldn't finish!

I did the back the best I could, but it still wasn't cut on the right setting.

The front I might try out tomorrow if it's dry. It's a scary situation!

I wish I had a bigger mower, or something... Someone needs to come up with a solution... This takes way too long...

Our trimmers come with a body harness, man are they comfortable to use. Anyhow if we get into a situation like this, first off the rate goes way up and discussed before we even touch it, then the staff will strap on a trimmer and go at it, I forget how many cc they are but they also run 8" brush saw blades, probably 45cc, power is insane, a lawn the size in you picture would take about 20min, 30 top, the trimmer is used to cut to about 3 1/2 inches, then we mow the lawn twice at 3 inches with the mulchers, turns out excellent....but we inform the client this is not a way to obtain a healty nice looking lawn.

there is also a section on the left of the pool, and the front of his house... I think ill go bang it out now.... errr, i need to fill up on gas.... lol

Well Scott when you can you need to purchase a commercial walk behind mower. It would chew through that in no time. Push mowers can only handle so much...hehe, which I am sure you know.
