Although they claim their newspaper display wasn't meant to alarm anyone. A concerned person called the bomb squad after the Mission Impossible marketing material seemed to actually contain a bomb.
It not only got the attention of the bomb squad but of the global press. Who ever came up with this marketing campaign must be loving it.
I don't think this specific situation is the way to go, but what if you came up with a marketing idea that got press attention. It would surely get people talking about you.
