This is a good article. It discusses issues I have seen repeat themselves many times in the past. When a business owner wants to expand, sometimes they need to pay someone more than they make themselves to run their spin off expansion. A lot of business owners just won't allow themselves to do this. They feel it's their business and they should be paid the most, but if you are trying to grow, you must put that goal first above your desire for immediate gratification.

Remember this is your dream and your goal. You are the one that must take the leap of faith to see it through, not the employee. The employee just wants to be paid. This business isn't their baby. Realize this and you will grow.

What are the top three observations about growth, there was no equivocation. First: Have a keen sense of purpose. Second: Find the right people to take the business to the next level. Third: Look at future trends and how they will impact your business.

With regard to the first, Steve says that itís important to have a passion for your business, not just for doing what you want to do, but rather for what needs to be done to make your business will be more successful. ďItís not about the money,Ē Steve said. ďIn fact, once you have begun to grow, you may have to tighten the belt to bring in higher-paid talent, such as an experienced sales manager who has the skills and contacts to expand your market beyond its current horizons.Ē The real monetary reward may come when you sell your business Ö right before you launch your next venture.
