I was just reading a story on this group of lawn care business owners and growers and DHL who got together to create this Trees for Troops organization.

They ship Christmas trees to troops serving outside the country. Very interesting. Then I was thinking what if you created your own program where you possibly grew and gave trees or even wreaths to local troops or veterans?

It could be a great way to get media attention and do a good deed.

You could ask for donations and ask for help to maybe put together the wreaths or deliver them or whatever.

What are your thoughts on this?

Maybe you could also team up with the local vfw and have them help create the wreaths out of the materials you supply. Then you could go around the area and hang up the wreaths at veteran's homes. Maybe you could do this as you pull your trailer with a Santa / Christmas style holiday float to promote this. And you could all dress up with Santa hats. It would make for a great picture for the press.
