Now this would be a blast to do. Create a sign on the top of your house that says seasons greetings from Your Lawn Company.

I bet this would generate some interest. Even if the town told you it had to come down, you could make a big stink about it that they are trying to ruin your holiday decorations and it could lead to getting an article in the paper.

How can you make it?

Things you will need:

Get 100 feet of lighted rope (depending on the size of your sign)
Cable ties.
A piece of plywood.
A spool of 9 gauge wire or so.


Step by step:

Draw out the outline of the sign on some plywood.
Create a wire frame using your 9 gauge wire.
Tie strap the lights to the wire.
Then you can either lay the sign on your roof or build a small structure to have it stand on the roof peak.
