I liked this creative lawn care business commercial. It was humorous and here I am sharing it with you all. It makes you wonder, if you can make a video that grabs the viewers attention, you can get word of mouth discussions going.

What do you think of it?

Hi Daniel,

I know you and me talked a bit about your video but no one else knows what the behind the scenes story was of you making it.

Can you share with everyone a little bit about that?

The video was meant to show how desirable our service was to consumers.

As shown in the video, the boy would rather admire the grass then engage in a first kiss with his girlfriend.

When we filmed it, it was February so the grass was obviously not green, so just imagine that it is in your mind!

Being a marketing major in school, how do you feel a lawn care business can best leverage a video to gain more customers?

Many landscaping companies DO NOT use video advertising. Mainly because of the cost and the area it would reach. You don't want to get a call from someone 50 miles away and have to drive out to cut that one person.

Video advertising is key for companies that have matured and established growth.

In being a marketing major, I can say that it is key to have retention of the ad and to make some lasting impact that will make the potential customer more likely to call.

My advice is to show the high-quality aspects of your business while at the same time, amusing your viewer with comedy. Make sure the comedy fits the age group of your target market!
