So, my name is smack( yeah thats what everyone calls me even my mom ha!)

so i Started this thing out of necessity, i got divorced.. moved to Macon Ga , worked a few places got layed off of my job, decided that i would try to make some cash by cutting some yards.. well i put an add out under the name

" A guy and his mower" it seemed to get some responses so i ran with it.. well im still running with it lol.

and thats abot where i am at thus far.. a guy and his lawn mower.. i decided to try to learn as much about this business as i could ( i know how to do the work) found this forum and have learned so many things so far!

i am hoping to get as big as most of you guys/gals one day..i cant charge as much as you folks yet but im building my way up!!

so thats about it.. thats me.. a guy and his mower, but with dreams of a guy and a huge business one day lol :D

well the main reason is Capital,im kind of weary to get a loan to buy all the equipment and stuff i should really have at this point, the next is marketing in till i found your site i was kinda lost as how best to Market a lawn care co.

Im from Savannah,Ga. I had a really good painting Co. back there called "Touch of class painting"

but as you can guess lawn care and painting marketing is completely different.
I really didnt know where to start.. how much to charge, tools i would need etc. i have spend the better part of 10 hours on your forum soaking up every piece of info i could.. i have had a few jobs so far.. no contracts yet.. but im working on that..so with a little luck and lots of hard work..ill get big!

i do enjoy working out side and for myself

its just that initial investment that im kinda scared to make for all the top tools

Well what kind of equipment do you feel you need now that you don't have?

Also, how do you feel the marketing differs for painting and lawn care? What's been your view on that so far?
