Blaine are you still in Louisiana?

If so, have you been to this website?

How has your area been doing? Any updates you could share with us on your area post-Katrina?

we are doing great down here ,the area is coming back strong, minus all the crazy politics and crime rate.

Keep us posted on how your incorporation is going. Also if you have any new pictures of the area, I'd love to see them.

My Question is, I have a LLC now in a different business and can no longer do the work because of injured knees. Question is, can my present business name be changed ?

Welcome freedalpha to our forum!

Well ultimately yes. I think you will need to register a new business name. I don't think you can fill out a form and change it.

What state are you in and we can look this up together.

What business are you getting out of and then going to be getting into?

Thank you for the welcome. My State is MI Presently my business is MB&S Flooring Contractors LLC and now would be Lawn service > mowing trimming, edging residentail and commerical work.

I think the best thing would be to simply register a new business.

Try this site.

What do you think about getting into the lawn care business? Is it something you always wanted to do? Did you consider other options as well?

I can help you out, because I have an LLC in Michigan. *Why not setup a trade name under your current LLC. *You can setup multiple trade names under the entity. *For example, with me, my entity is Tiedeman, LLC and my trade name is Tiedeman Lawn & Landscaping.

I had some legal advice with the process in setting up the LLC correctly. *They told me what to do, gave me the paperwork, and I filed it myself saving about $200.

That is a really good idea! That way you can experiment with different services and still have one main name.

Do you remember any of the specific steps that stood out as far as setting up your llc that you could share with others interested in doing the same thing?

I would contact an attorney is my best advice. Just ask them for quick advice on setting up an LLC in the state. They can do it for you, or you can do it yourself. It is actually a very simple and easy process. For example, once you get it setup here in Michigan, the only thing that you have to worry about every year is paying a $25 renewal fee.
