Poor Quality Work: Sloppy work is another good way to lose customers. You’re a professional. Your lawns should look as good as or better than any in the neighborhood.

My original problem was, I couldn't afford good mowers because I didn't have enough money. I didn't have enough money, because I couldn't afford good mowers. If I didn't have good mowers I didn't feel I could do a good enuogh job mowing $500k houses. I don't think I am the only person that has fallen in to that circle.
At that time I had a 42" craftsmen tractor that I bought for $350

Hi Mow Right,

How did you get out of it? What advise would you have for an lco in a similar situation?

Take a loan and get some good equipment, and raise prices to get out of the low-baller circle. Do some advertising in higher end target market with the left over money from the loan.
In a nutshell that is what I have done this year, and I can/will pay of my loan by the middle off next summer.
Since I was to young to get a decent job ($9+per/hr) I had no other choice IMO.
