This is an interesting reflection on the irrigation business. Soldiers are coming back and spending thousands of dollars on their lawns.

Have you seen this to be the case too?

Businesses capitalize on drought (http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=263854) - “We’re up about 20 percent for irrigation systems,” said Fulcher, owner of Cape Fear Landscaping and Lawncare. “These boys are working hard, maybe 75 to 80 hours a week.”

Fulcher’s 10 employees lay sod and design yards from Lumberton to Raleigh, with most of their work in Fayetteville.

“People can spend between $2,000 and $3,000 for an irrigation system, depending on how big the yard is and all,” Fulcher said. “Right now, we’re seeing a lot of soldiers coming back and fixing up their yards. They’ve gone from spending their money on car stereos and rims to buying sod and irrigation systems. So, we’re going to hang on for the ride.”
