Hello from the heartland!

I am a turf and tree pro from the far northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. Great site here, I found it by accident through a Google search while doing some research for our soon to be new website!

Killer stuff, and I am excited to try the gopher pro software! The business was my Dad's, and he is somewhat of a Luddite, so they were still doing everything by hand, with the predictable results.

Your company has been in business for 47 years! WOW that is amazing!

How does it feel running a company that has been around so long? Was it difficult at all taking over the company's operations?

Being in business for such a long time, what advice would you offer a new lawn care company just starting up?

Taking over is easy- changing things is problematic!
The old man, like many small operators keeps everything

is the hardest part, but ve haf our vays...

By hand I mean admin stuff. We are fairly advanced in our
use of tools, lol. Decent pumps, spray equip. etc.

Anyone have any good cheap advertising techniques that
I don't know about? We are pretty much just doing direct
mail to existing lists and new move-ins right now...
