I am located in VA on the Eastern shore I am trying to figure a good quality seed for myself and my customers.I need a hardy grass that is drought tolerant.A few of my customers as well as myself have tall fescue without sprinklers.Last summer they browned up pretty well
I have to overseed 2 plus my own but dont want to use Tall Fescue again.Any Ideas?

After talking to a few people today I found out alot of lawns down here are Bermuda grass(weed) and some of them grow like crazy.
I was thinking about just overseeding with a good quality mix fescue.

Do you have any effects at all from the salt from the ocean?

No salt here or at customers.Towards last August it was very hot and very little rain until the end of September.I think I am just going to fertilize all 3 and wait until the fall to overseed.
I figure there is no sense overseeding now and then have another drought.

Usually the late summer, early fall is tbe best time to do any type of lawn renovation
