It seems those lcos who sell firewood as an add on service have found themselves with too much stock.

Weather, not business, heats up (http://www.kcchronicle.com/articles/2007/01/09/business/local/doc45a4363cdf91b994798136.txt) - The unseasonably warm temperatures this winter has left Geneva Firewood and Mulch, on the 600 block of East State St. on Geneva, Ill. with surplus wood. "Usually this time of year, we have two piles," Mike Rippinger, an employee said on Tuesday January 9, 2007. "But right now we have four**and another two will be delivered this week. You can't say 'no' to the loggers." As an incentive to consumers, the company has offered free delivery on smaller quantities.

Do they offer anything else in it's place?

I sold over 40 cords of wood (about $15k) in the past couple months...not a bad winter money maker

Is that above or below what you normally make for the wood?

above...it has been real good...this year I am cutting 50 cords for next season...I am looking into buying more land to store the wood...I hope to get up to 100 cords soon.
