letter for existing customers to reup for 06 seaso

I need some help finding or creating a professional letter for my existing customers to sign on again for the 06 season.

How did you get your previous year customers to resign with you? Would it be better in such a situation to call them instead of sending a letter? Would a call help you get more clients to resign with you?
