Question: *How can I take care of crabgrass?

Answer: *Crabgrass normally germinates when the ground temperature is around 55 degrees. *It is important to apply a pre-emergent crabgrass control weed product to your lawn before your lawn reaches the germination temperature. *Timing is very important to receive great results, and applications that require this precise of timing is sometimes best left for professionals.

Other things of importance is that you should not do any dethatching or raking of the lawn after the application, because it will break the protective barrier that the pre-emgerent weed control product is providing. *Also the -pre-emergent will slow the growth of newly seeded lawns, and it is not recommended to apply the product if you plan on seeding an area shortly after the application period.
