Do you drug test your employees? Should an lco do this?


It's not all good for Steve Wood (http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/article/20070220/NEWS/102200052) - Steve Wood, the owner of Affordable Lawn Care and Snow Removal, is scheduled to return to jail on a burglary charge in May to serve a 100- day sentence.

He was placed on an electronic monitoring program to finish the remainder of his sentence. While being electronically monitored in the fall, Wood violated terms of his probation when he tested positive for methamphetamine and refused a probation officer's request to inspect a locked storage shed.

I feel that if you are going to operate any type of dangerous equipment then yes, you should have to do drug testing

By all means require drug testing. Make it a condition of employment that they pay for it, too. Money well spent.

As tiedeman stated, you need people operating dangerous equipment with a clear head.

Yup. And by dangerous equipment I even mean trimmers, mowers, chainsaws, any time of power tools.
